Gaming Projects

This is an XT-style Massive Bulleted List™ of all my ongoing gaming projects.  Anything stated here overrides anything I've ever said in a blog post, or ever will say in a blog post.  Also, I'll try to keep this page updated so that'll actually be true lol.
  • Chrono Fever: (Chrono Trigger → Radical Dreamers → Chrono Cross)
    • Chrono Trigger (PSX): Beaten, Extras Mode fully unlocked, everyone level 99 with max power/magic/speed, enough copies of the best equipment so that I don't have to do equipment swaps.
    • Chrono Trigger (SNES): Beaten, everyone level 99 with max power/magic/speed, enough copies of the best equipment so that I don't have to do equipment swaps.  All clones, poyozo dolls, and cats obtained.
    • Chrono Trigger (DS): Beaten, Extras Mode fully unlocked (thanks to 3DS CFW+DeSmuME, because the mirrors/Nu Arcana are frustratingly rare, to the point that I gave up trying to get them legitimately), everyone at level 99 with max power/speed/magic, max hit/stamina as applicable for Crono/Marle/Lucca from Dimensional Vortex, enough copies of the (new) best equipment so that I don't have to do equipment swaps.
    • Chrono Trigger (Super Famicom): Level grinding in Geno Dome. (or should I say, genocide dome?  The name romanizes to "genosaido-mu".)
    • Radical Dreamers: Died on Lynx with no savestate, haven't retried.  Not sure if I want to retry, to be honest.  Probably will, eventually, just to complete it and do the side stories.  Considering getting a repro cart or a flashcart so I can play it on actual hardware.
    • Chrono Cross: Just before shit happens when meeting up with Leena on the beach.
  • Various other RPGs:
    • Dark Cloud: Played a bit of the first town a long time ago, put it down, haven't touched it since.  Will definitely start over since I completely forget everything.
    • The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: Level 14 Wood Elf (archery, sneak, pickpocket, lockpicking, light armor, one-hand, blocking, and a small bit of destruction for the rune spells so I can lay traps) needs better armor because everything currently pwns him, but his smithing is shit, but he can't get materials to make more armor to level smithing because everything pwns him.  Also being sneaky is difficult when enemies aggro from farther away than my render distance :(
    • I Am Setsuna: Not started.
  • Shantae (Shantae → Shantae: Risky's Revenge → Shantae and the Pirate's Curse)
    • Got partway through Shantae, put it down, don't really remember where I need to go next.  Will probably start over and use a walkthrough.
  • Project 'Bout Fuckin' Time: (Link's Awakening DX → Final Fantasy 4)
    • Link's Awakening DX: Beaten
    • Final Fantasy 4: Not started.
  • Mario Kart: (all games in the series)
    • Super Mario Kart: Just started 150cc
    • Mario Kart 64: Don't own yet (don't even own the requisite N64 to play it on)
    • Mario Kart Super Circuit: In 150cc somewhere
    • Mario Kart Double Dash!!: Completed.  Did this a long time ago, back when the game was new.  In fact, this game was the entire reason I bought a GameCube.
    • Mario Kart DS: In Mirror Mode somewhere, never going to three-star everything because the criteria are ridiculous.
    • Mario Kart Wii: Finished 50cc/100cc/150cc, haven't started Mirror yet, never going to three-star everything because the criteria are ridiculous, but apparently I need to get at least one star on everything to unlock stuff.
    • Mario Kart 7: Complete, never going to three-star everything because the criteria are ridiculous.
    • Mario Kart 8: Complete, 100/100 stamps, three-starred all of 50cc/100cc/150cc/Mirror, working on three-starring all of 200cc and getting 10000 coins, will cheat at the amiibo costumes if I can get myself a bunch of NFC tags and a writer.
    • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: lol nice cash grab Nintendo just release the new features as MK8 DLC already.
    • Mario Kart 9: when
  • Bravely Default: Beaten, twice, with two completely different party compositions.
    • First playthrough: -aja spam team
      • 2x Vampire/Swordmaster -aja spammer/White Wind healer with Free Lunch
      • Salve-Maker/Spiritmaster Uber Support
      • Performer/Freelancer BP Battery
    • Second playthrough: Traditional RPG Archetypes
      • Ranger/Spell Fencer
      • Black Mage/I forget
      • White Mage/I forget
      • Knight/Templar
  • Bravely Second: Beaten, gave up on completionism because holy fuck they made that as tedious as possible, will probably do a second playthrough with a different party composition eventually
    • 2x Hawkeye/Job Command doesn't matter because Hawkeye is awesome
      • Barrage+Multitask+Crossfire go
    • a healer of some variety (I forget)
    • Catmancer/Patissier support
  • Get Back to 100% Achievements:
    • Magicka: all I'm missing are the really hard ones lol
    • Beat Hazard: I need to get better at the game so I can finish the ship-specific achievements
  • Neglected Games:
    • Fossil Fighters Frontier: I should really either play this game to completion or sell it
